Welcome to Cowesett Pizza, a beloved establishment with deep roots in our community since 1986. Our journey began when Vasillios Benekos purchased this pizzeria in '86, and it has been a treasured part of the neighborhood ever since. Over the years, it changed hands and names, but the heart of this place remained the same: a commitment to serving delicious, authentic pizza that brings people together.

In 2012, Vasili's son Dimitri repurchased the restaurant, rekindling the flavors and traditions that our community holds dear. And in 2020, a new chapter began when Christopher and Brittany Cioe stepped into the picture. Under Dimitri's guidance, they inherited cherished recipes and a legacy of community support.

Cowesett Pizza's vision is to serve its community high-quality food with fantastic service while maintaining a family culture that provides its employees wages and benefits that far surpass the bare minimum, allowing our employees to support a quality lifestyle. We aim to show the world that we can pay well, donate large sums of money directly to the community, and maintain profitability without treating staff and customers like numbers, using low-quality products, or utilizing deceiving marketing practices. We will achieve this by letting our deeds, products, and community involvement be a constant reminder of who we are and what we do. It is our mandate to inspire others in the business community to adopt a 'people-first' business model.
Meet the Owners
Christopher and Brittany Cioe, the dynamic duo behind Cowesett Pizza, have a remarkable story that led them here. Their paths crossed in our neighborhood, and it was in 2013 that their journey together truly began.

Christopher's entrepreneurial spirit ignited at a young age when he started his first business at just 16. Over the years, he ventured into international consulting and built a successful financial and investment business. However, life took an unexpected turn after a severe accident, leading to numerous surgeries and a change in perspective. Forced to sell his financial business due to its strenuous demands, he embarked on a new path.

Brittany, with a degree in legal studies and a background in paralegal work and administration, left her job to care for Christopher during this challenging time. Together, they discovered a shared passion for cooking and serving loved ones, which eventually led them to Cowesett Pizza.

Their decision to take over the pizzeria was not just about business; it was a profound change of perspective. Christopher and Brittany set out on a higher mission, beyond profit margins. Their vision aligns with Cowesett Pizza's mission and vision statements: to not only be a strong, profitable business but also to ensure their employees thrive with a living wage and benefits.
